The law of harvest is to reap more than you sow. Sow an act, and you reap a
habit. Sow a habit and you reap a character. Sow a character and you reap a
destiny. – James Allen
Every morning I see you in your garden.
Touching different shades of green.
The constant gardener.
Sometimes I see you reading the clouds.
Testing the soil.
Kneeling. With your hands deep inside the beautiful face of the earth.
This morning I stopped.
Climbed over the fence with no grace at all.
And walked with you through patches of spinach, butternut and basil.
Rows of rocket, sorghum and young moringa trees.
And admired the fruits of your labour. Tasting. Smelling. Feeling.
You harvested some orca bean seeds for me.
Just because I asked.
